Andy - Thanks much! It's a newer technique for me so it's still really loose. Maybe that's a good thing?
Rie - I'm a fan of the bottom one personally. Glad you like it though!
Jeremy - Haha, I was thinking that right after I finished these.
C.G Leow - Thanks! You've got a nifty blog yourself.
Robin - Ya, the first one is more amusing to me than a good drawing. I like the last one too.
Ewen - Haha, I suggest you check out the wall and you'll see the not-so distant future has arrived.
As for giant tablet screens, I think the tactile response of conte on paper will still endure. Either way though, you still have to be able to draw - the tablet is definetly just a tool!
But thinking about it, if I did life drawing on this instead of on newsprint I'd save bigtime. Cost me only 12 bucks to do the prints for my entire portfolio - and that's all that I ever would have to put on paper. Definetly tree and wallet friendly!

Really nice drawings Alan, great character and lines!
Yay~! C'est Monsieur Cheff. I like the one in the middle the best.
Haha sweet Alan, its all Ratatouille and stuff!
Hi. Great blog! Love your chef drawings.
can't say I'm particularly fond of the first one -- the bottom one's my favourite! :D
It'd be pretty interesting to see prints of digital life drawings up on the wall. Maybe in the not so distant future?
And maybe in the distant future, the life drawing classes will have giant tablet screens with extremely versatile digital "conté" sticks. And all your drawings will be automatically saved to your server. Think of the trees!
