Another quick news shot...

Yesterday was a screening for Disney's The Little Mermaid at the El Capitan Theatre. AWN posts that many of the leads behind the film had a talk about the making of during this event (Glen Keane and Don Hahn were there, amongst others (even Ariel's voice!). AWN's article sheds some light on the talks and points out some things that I didn't know about the film, such as Howard Ashman's involvement in the development of Sebastien and Glen Keane's decision to switch from Supervising Animator on Ursula to Ariel after being transfixed by the possibilities of the character. Worth a read for sure! Remember, it's coming out on DVD quite soon so watch out for it!

Also, I don't know how many times I've given the plug to The Mysterious Explorations of Jasper Morello but it, along with a few other 'indie short animated films" are showing up on iTunes. Badgered, An Imagined Conversation and many more are featured now and is refreshing to see the Oscar-nominated shorts crew be readily available at a store such as iTunes.

I'm off to America for the day so that's all the news for now. Have a great day!
