Alan, I'm really impressed with these last few posts of your life drawings from costumed models. The one of the hombre being tied to the chair is particularly good. I'm glad to see you taking a somewhat caricatured approach to these, distorting the face and figure to the extent that an artist like Rockwell did. Nice work!
I much prefer stylizing the models and tweaking things over copying the model verbatim. These drawings are mostly me trying a brand new method of life drawing for me so I'm really glad to hear a good response. People have told me it reminds them of Leyendecker and Rockwell - that surprises me because it was necer really my intention, but definitely interesting to hear!
After the break I will be experimenting even more with different methods. I'm glad you like the direction though Pete!
